Unfortunately, a great number of the early records were destroyed, as some of the undertakers’ records were kept in the cemetery gatehouse which was destroyed by a bushfire of Dec 1944 – Jan 1945. In the late 1980s and early 1990s Cathy Dunn undertook the task of indexing all the local church and surviving undertaker records some which had an old burial location code and burial location by section, row, and plot. In addition to transcribing all headstones.
