Early History and Burials at Sandridge Cemetery Mollymook NSW 1893 – 1896 Booklet

Booklet on the early history and burials at Sandridge Cemetery Mollymook NSW of 1893 – 1896 collated by historian Cathy Dunn for NSW History Week 2022, with proceeds to the Milton Ulladulla Hospital Auxiliary. The booklet includes the burials at Sandridge 1893 – 1896 many in unmarked graves.

Unfortunately, a great number of the early records were destroyed, as some of the undertakers’ records were kept in the cemetery gatehouse which was destroyed by a bushfire of Dec 1944 – Jan 1945. In the late 1980s and early 1990s Cathy Dunn undertook the task of indexing all the local church and surviving undertaker records some which had an old burial location code and burial location by section, row, and plot. In addition to transcribing all headstones.

Due to this research, we were able to find and confirm most early burials at Sandridge Cemetery, unfortunately there are still many an unmarked grave and exact burial location unknown.
